Tacos

Tasty tacos, but easy.
Makes 8 tacos
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, minced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 500g lean minced beef
- 1/2 cup tomato paste
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 8 taco shells
- Lettuce
- 1 container of creme fraiche
- grated cheese
- misc garnishes for the tacos
Recipe
- Pre-heat the oven for the taco shells (look on the packaging for instructions)
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet on medium high heat
- Fruit the onion until translucent
- Add garlic, spices, and 1 tsp salt and cook until fragrant
- Put the taco shells in the oven
- Add minced meat to the skillet, continue stirring until meat is no longer red
- Add tomato paste, vinegar, and brown sugar
- Allow to cook until sauce thickens
- Add salt and pepper to taste
Serving
- Place lettuce in the taco shell
- Top lettuce with creme fraiche
- Fill the taco shell with the filling
- Garnish with cheese and other garnishes of choice
